• 2 oz light rum
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 6-8 mint leaves
  • splash of club soda
  • 1 lime cut in half

Optional ingredients:

  • Mint sprig for garnish


Place the sugar, mint leaves and a splash of club soda into a highball glass. Muddle well to dissolve the sugar and release the flavor of the mint. Squeeze the juice from both halves of the lime into the glass, dropping one half of the lime in to the glass. Add the rum. Stir well. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Top with club soda. Garnish with the mint sprig.
