WHITE WINE

Chenin Blanc produces wines with vibrant acidity and relatively high levels of sugar. Winemakers use those qualities to make either powerful dry white wines or bold sweet wines that retain enough acidity to remain fresh. Most famously grown in the Loire Valley, American drinkers will find Vouvray as a great example of semi-sweet Chenin Blanc. It is also widely grown in South Africa where it produces fruity, lively wines.
